The Deputy Supervisor of Elections said the election preparations are well underway.
Michael Clancy who arrived in the country earlier this week from Australia said he ran training courses for the Electoral Commission in Fiji in 2006 and for Women in the Pacific in 2008.
He has worked extensively in the Australian elections.
Clancy has also worked in the elections in Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Tonga.
Clancy said he is pleased to see that the planning is on track for one day elections to be held on September 17th.
Meanwhile, Director of Operations at the Fijian Elections Office, Robin Boyd said the election planning is now in the advanced stages.
