The Public Rental Board will be analysing how the China Railway No.1 surpassed the $9 million budget allocated to them to build the new Raiwai flats which is now on hold.
Acting Deputy Secretary for Local Government, Urban Development and Housing Kolinio Bola said China Railway exceeded the $9 million contract which now stands at $19 million.
Bola said the PRB will be looking into this when they meet tomorrow.
He said the other issue they will also be discussing is why the company did not follow the building code of Fiji and structural requirements.
Construction of the new PRB Raiwai flats has been on hold for a few months.
