The Vodafone Fiji 7s team produced a stunning performance as they beat South Africa 33-26 in a pulsating final to win the Japan 7s tournament.
It was a see-saw battle as replacement playmaker Waisea Nacuqu proved to be the difference after receiving an overhead pass from Pio Tuwai to score the winning try seconds from full time.
Fiji's other tries came from Emosi Mulevoro, Samisoni Viriviri, Benito Eremasi and veteran Setefano Cakau.
Both teams were locked 19-all at halftime.
Despite the win Fiji remains third in the IRB World 7s Series Standings with 95 points, South Africa takes the lead with 116 points while New Zealand is second with 114 points.
Meanwhile, the Vodafone Fiji 7s team is placed in a tough pool at this weekend's Hong Kong 7s and they will face Wales, Kenya and Sri Lanka.
