Access to treatment for people living with HIV/AIDS is one of the main challenges in the country.
Luke Nayasa who is a HIV positive and is one of the twenty delegates from Fiji attending the largest Asia Pacific HIV forum this week said this is one of the areas that needs to be addressed in the country which they will be seeking support at the forum.
Nayasa said attending the forum will be a great opportunity to address issues affecting people living with HIV adding they will also be looking at HIV advocacy and human rights.
Also part of the delegation is former Miss South Pacific Mere Nailatikau who will address the Pacific Symposium on “Young Pacific voices speak out on AIDS”.
Nailatikau said she hopes to bring back innovative ideas of helping people with HIV especially those living in isolated areas.
The forum will also be attended by the President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau which will begin this Friday in Busan, Korea.
