NZ Prime Minister, John Key has stressed that they will no longer force Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama because they know that he will not change his stance as far as returning to democracy is concerned.
Speaking to the National Press Club in Canberra while on an official visit to Australia, Key said there is little more that can be done after months of failed threats to try to secure a return to democracy.
Key also stressed that there will be no economic sanctions.
The New Zealand Prime Minister like Australia, said it’s not appropriate to hurt ordinary Fijians.
After the first ever joint Australia New Zealand cabinet meeting today, Key and his Australian counterpart, Kevin Rudd are expected to sit together tomorrow to watch the All Blacks/Wallabies Bledisloe Cup match.
