“To retain our title will be an added bonus.”
These are the words of defending Coca-Cola Games girls division champion Jasper Williams High School coach Antonio Raboiliku as they put the final touches to their preparation.
Speaking to Fijivillage Raboiliku said many of their athletes from last year have gone to the other schools and they will try and do their best in all the events they take part in.
Raboiliku added they will be banking on their young athletes to provide the spark for them as they showed their dominance during the Lautoka Zone winning majority of their gold medals from the Junior grade.
However, Raboiliku is still hoping that star athlete Mereseini Naidau and Mereseini Vukici will recover in time for the games.
The Coca-Cola Games starts next Friday at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
