A social and support network for gays and lesbians at USP, the Drodrolagi Movement has encouraged its members to voice their opinion when the Constitution Consultation process begins next month.
President Kris Prasad said that they want to be heard and recognized for their rights and to break the silence of discrimination against gays and lesbians in the country.
Last night the Drodrolagi Movement held a panel discussion to mark International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia.
Meanwhile the Attorney General said that the permit for the Gay community march for yesterday was cancelled by the police, following their professional assessment.
He added that the Bainimarama Government strongly stands by its policy of non-discrimination and that the cancellation of the permit does not in any way reflect a change in this policy.
