Police are expected to decide on further action in the next couple of hours in relation to the alleged murder of a 49-year-old carpenter in Nawaicoba, Nadi, on Monday.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the post mortem of the deceased was scheduled for this morning and they will decide on their next course of action after they receive a report.
Meanwhile, two men who were taken in for questioning in relation to the alleged murder have been questioned and released by police.
Naisoro said four men are in police custody.
The initial report of assault was reported at the Nadi Police Station when the victim was found lying injured at his house by his brother.
According to a Police report, it is alleged he was assaulted after being accused of practicing witchcraft.
Naisoro said they are investigating to ascertain this allegation as this was part of the initial report made to Police.
