The shadow Samoan rugby 7s team is taking the opportunity at the Uprising Fiji International 7s to concentrate on building up their team for the Wellington 7s according to their head coach.
Faamaoni Lalomilo said some of his players are back from injury and he is hoping they do well in their games.
The Samoans will play their first game against Nasoni Roko’s Samurai Barracudas at 10:42am tomorrow at Churchill Park.
Meanwhile, world sevens series commentator Willie Lose who is in the country believes the Uprising Fiji International 7s is a tournament that can uncover promising new players who will later make their mark in the world stages.
Lose said he wants to see how Fiji produces so many players in the World Series in a short time.
The tournament will kick tomorrow at 10am with defending champions Ministry of Health Wardens taking on Yamacia and you can catch live commentaries of selected matches on our sister station Viti FM.
