The Fiji Police Force stresses that if politicians are discussing politics and about the constitution consultations, then they need to apply for a permit.
Director of Operations, SSP Rusiate Tudravu said three or more people involved in the political discussions is termed as a meeting and a permit is required.
Tudravu said social or festive events do not require permits but police can intervene if they have reasonable information that any issue could undermine the safety and security of Fiji.
