Ginger industry in Fiji to expand

Agriculture Ministry believes Fiji’s ginger industry will further expand and grow with the opening of marketing opportunities.

While opening the Ginger Refresher Course at the Southern Cross Hotel this morning, Permanent Secretary for Agriculture, Ropate Ligairi says this will surely broaden our economic base and provide employment to more of our ordinary people.

He said ginger is already now a 12 million dollar industry.
