Former Netball Fiji coach Julie Hoornweg has been appointed as the Fiji Pearls coach for the World Netball Cup qualifiers event that will be held in Cook Islands in June.
Hoornweg, is no stranger to Fiji as she was the national coach in the late-1990s, and coached the national side to the 1999 World Netball Championship in New Zealand, where Fiji came in sixth which is our best finish ever.
Netball Fiji President Wainikiti Bogidrau said Fiji is really fortunate to have someone of Hoornweg’s caliber as national coach.
