Police disaster management teams have been stationed around the divisions for Tropical Cyclone Evans.
Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro said Police officers have also been directed to go out into their communities and carry out awareness on the need to prepare and take precautions now.
She has also called on people to take precautions now and not to wait until Sunday.
There have been cases in the past where people did not take heed of warnings seriously and had to be rescued from their homes.
