The first delegation of youths for the Pacific Youth Festival has arrived this morning in Suva.
Festival Media Liaison Offer William Naisara confirmed the delegation from Tuvalu and the Kiribati arrived and there are a total of 21 youths from Kiribati and 29 from Tuvalu.
Organizers have planned panel discussions through the whole week focusing on 5 main topics such as Pacific Identity, the Environment, Skills for Life, Healthy Living and Good Governance.
A total of over 600 youths from the Marshall Islands, Nauru, Tuvalu, Kiribati, Tonga, Vanuatu, Cook Islands, American and Western Samoa, Wallis and Futuna along with two delegations from French Polynesia are expected into the country for the festival.
The opening will be held at Albert Park this Saturday with President Ratu Josefa Iloilo to officially open the one week meet.
