The opening up of surfing spots around the country has seen a positive response.
Fiji surfing Association President John Phillips said there were fears with overcrowding and injuries or deaths by people.
However, they have not received such reports.
Phillips said the local surfers have assisted in the hospitality to the surfing tourists by showing the "Bula Spirit".
The decree which came into place early last year states that no exclusive rights to surfing spots.
This applies to Tavarua Island, which is home to some of the best surfing waves in the world called "Cloud Break" and to Namotu Island which restricted access to surfers.
