The Sigatoka Methodist High School committee members are still waiting for government’s response on the relocation of the school.
School Chairman Reverend Immanuel Reuben said they are still in consultation with the government after 13 classrooms were destroyed in a fire last year.
Rev. Reuben said they are holding talks with the Fiji National University as they have shown interest in one of their current school premises at Nayawa in Sigatoka.
He said the Sigatoka Methodist High School will be relocated to their property at Kulukulu.
$1.5 million is the total cost of the project.
Meanwhile, more than 400 students from year one to eight of the Sigatoka Methodist Primary School have now adjusted to the temporary classrooms at the school’s Multi Purpose Hall.
