Lote Tuqiri has been retained by Kangaroos coach Tim Sheens for Saturday's Four Nation game against the Kiwis.
Sheens has made six personnel changes to the starting 13 that played against England at Melbourne last Sunday.
International player of the year Todd Carney is one of four new caps in the Kangaroos team which also has see another Fiji born player Petero Civoinaceva warming the bench.
For Tuqiri the test against New Zealand is important to his career since he has not been able to record any win in Eden Park when he was a member of the Wallabies team.
The Kangaroos and the Kiws Four Nation Test will start on Saturday at 7.15pm.
