Ministry of Education Permanent Secretary, Dr. Brij Lal said the Government will be briefed soon on how school grants have been used so far for the first term.
Lal said various monitoring teams are visiting schools in all the divisions and he will prepare a report by the 15th of this month which will be given to Cabinet.
Lal said they want to know whether the grants given to schools are used for the intended course.
The Ministry of Education had stressed earlier that the term two and three school grants will only be given after they receive the audited financial reports of last year.
