The question everyone is asking today is what went wrong in the Dubai Sevens where the Fiji Sevens team lost to France in the Cup quarterfinals and Wales in the Plate semifinal.
After a heroic win at Gold Coast in October, the expectation level was high that the Digicel Fiji Sevens team will continue where they left off.
On the streets, Fiji Sevens diehard fans had a lot to say after watching the quarterfinals on Saturday night.
The Fiji Rugby Union is yet to comment on the team’s performance.
CEO Manasa Baravilala said he does not have all the information and will give a comment later today.
Chairman Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga said he has no comment to make and has referred all questions to the team management.
Meanwhile, Fiji will play England at 10.22pm this Saturday in its first match of the South Africa Sevens.
Fiji’s second match is against Scotland at 1.28am on Sunday and the last pool match is against New Zealand at 5.58am on Sunday.
The Cup quarterfinals start at 11.39pm Sunday, Cup semifinals start at 3.49am Monday and the Cup final will be played 6.30am on Monday.
