More than 700,000 registered Vodafone and Innk mobile users will have increased accessibility to the Public Service Commission services.
This follows the launch of the PSC short code dialing and SMS text subscription during the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between PSC, Vodafone and Newnet today.
Chairman Parmesh Chand said the outcome of this is increasing PSC’s ability to respond faster to queries and information and enhance their service delivery to the general public.
He said the charge rates is cheaper, and 20 percentage will be credited back to the PSC account by Vodafone.
He said the four mobile short codes are PSC HQ short code is 5406, PSC Training short code is 5407, Multi Ethnic Affairs short code is 5408 and PSC Scholarships short code is 5409.
He added the SMS Text Subscription is to text sub PSC to 777 to receive regular updates on services provided by the Public Service Commission.
