Mining company creates jobs in Namosi

A mining company based at Waisoi in Namosi has employed more than one hundred people in Namosi, through the Namosi joint venture project.
Chief Executive David Boyd who is working closely with the villagers of Namosi for the last two years made a presentation at the Namosi Provincial Council meeting last week highlighting the mining prospects within the province.
Boyd told the members of the Council that they have found very good copper and gold within the upper hills of the Namosi province.
Chairman of the Provincial Council Ratu Romanu Matanitobua expressed his gratitude towards the company which he states has brought about not only employment opportunities, but also helping with education of many of their children.
Ratu Romanu said the company has funded scholarships and has helped with the building of kindergartens, adding the company has repaired roads as well.
