The Lomaiviti Barbarians rugby side is hoping that they will be one of the top local teams that will take part in the Uprising International sevens this month since it's an invitational meet.
Captain and former national fifteens and sevens flyer Marika Vunibaka said it would be a blessing in disguise if they will be part of the tournament as he is grooming players for national duties.
Vunibaka added that his team can be a force in the tournament because they have been in fine form recently.
The Lomaiviti Babas reached the final of the Bure 7s two weeks ago where two of their players, Benito Eremasi and Manasa Nayagi stood out.
Eremasi and Nayagi were part of the Fiji 7s team fitness this week.
The Uprising 7s will be held at Churchill Park from the 18th to 19th of this month and will feature sixteen top local and overseas teams.
