Great year ahead for all Fijians - PM

As we now begin 2013 Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama has assured that the New Year heralds great promise for all Fijians.

In his National New Years address, Commodore Bainimarama said for all of our challenges and setbacks, he looks to the New Year firmly believing that Fiji’s future has never been brighter.

He has also pledged that Government will do everything to assist those affected by the recent cyclone to rebuild their homes and lives. 

Commodore Bainimarama said Government is building a more equal, safer and prosperous society.


Commodore Bainimarama said as a nation, there needs to be more pride instilled in our identity as Fijians highlighting the new notes and coins that will feature our flora and fauna and the new constitution which is expected by the first quarter of this year.

The Prime Minister also reveals that he will soon be making announcements on the revamping of our National flag. 


Commodore Bainimarama has called on everyone to make New Year’s resolutions as a nation.
