Close to $40,000 new $100 bills now recovered
Police have now managed to recover close to $40,000 of the new $100 bills that were stolen from a Suva bank earlier this month.

This follows a search conducted at the home of one of the security officers who was arrested in Nadi on Friday.

Upon searching the suspect's home police discovered $4,500 worth of the new $100 currency bills.

Another 46 new $100 bills were also recovered from various shops and individuals on Koro Island.

Investigations have so far revealed that one of the suspects had spent a week on the island before departing for Taveuni.

So far a total of $39,400 of the new look currency has been recovered as the effort also continues on recovering the rest of the missing bills.

Meanwhile, questioning of the suspects also continue this morning
