Students of School of Maritime studies to see changes
Students of School of Maritime studies of Fiji National University will see changes to their school come next year as the university has spent $2million in purchasing a maritime simulator which is a vital course program.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Ganesh Chand said the Maritime School suffered lack of investment in the past two decades or so with no capital developments taking place.

The state of the art maritime simulator where students will see full mission bridge and engine room has already been ordered and will be commissioned by April next year where the school will start offering the trade diploma in Ships Operation class 2 master/watch keeper.

Meanwhile the Fiji Government has allocated $1million to the school of Maritime Studies in the 2013 budget.
