People who provide information or documents to Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority contributing to the success of the investigation and prosecution by the authority will be rewarded.
FRCA CEO, Jitoko Tikolevu has said that they have reviewed their Whistle Blower Policy and people shall be entitled to at least ten percent of the tax revenue recovered as a monetary and non-monetary reward.
The policy applies to all FRCA employees, members of Management or Board of Directors and External Stakeholders.
Tikolevu added that the policy is intended to encourage and enable people to disclose any serious concerns or report any serious wrongdoing within FRCA rather than ignoring such a problem and “blowing the whistle outside”.
Tikolevu said that all concerns would be treated in the strictest confidence and every effort will be made not to reveal the identity of the whistle blower if he or she so wished.
However, if the whistle blower's concerns require any further action, he or she may at some future date be required to act as a witness and or provide evidence.
