Temporary ban on scrap metal extended
The temporary ban on the trade of non ferrous scrap metal except gold has been extended.

The ban was put in place in early November to address the theft and illegal trade of public infrastructure metal sold as scrap metal.

Permanent Secretary for Industry and Trade, Shaheen Ali said, the interagency Compliance and Enforcement Working Group met yesterday and agreed that the temporary ban be extended until further notice.
