Satish Prasad, who was detained on December 19th, was on remand and awaiting trial for the offence of trespassing.
The Centre found him missing during a headcount before lockup at around 4.30pm yesterday.
Harbouring prisoners is an offence and any person found guilty can face a fine not exceeding $5,000 or to a term of imprisonment of less than two years.
