More than 500 homes have been confirmed to be affected by the termite infestation in the Lautoka area.
Termite Taskforce spokesperson Rosa Dalituicama said this is after the team visited more than 3,000 homes to inspect the homes for termites adding that there are also more than ten schools which have been affected.
Dalituicama is also calling on residents in Lautoka to allow their officers into their homes, as a few of their officers have been turned away by home owners.
According to Dalituicama, homeowners should not be afraid as their 60 officers will be accompanied by Police officers and will be given consent forms to sign.
The Bio-Security Taskforce was set up after a termite infestation was reported in Lautoka.
