It was an emotional moment for a 12-year-old girl at the Fiji National University graduation today as she received the Bachelor of Nursing Certificate for her mother who passed away last year.
Savaira Kalokalo Teilai who was working as a sister at the Saint Giles Hospital died of cancer in November last year.
Her daughter Adi Seinimili Reilai who is a student at Suva Methodist School said she just wished her mother was alive to receive her certificate and enjoy her achievement.
The graduation ceremony for 1,134 Fiji National University students is currently underway at the Vodafone Arena.
