Benito Eremasi could be the next Caucau

Benito Eremasi could be the next Caucau
A new star was born at the Suva Grammar School grounds last Saturday during the Bure ambassadors sevens and could be our next Rupeni Caucau.

Benito Eremasi may be an unknown but he could be Fiji's next flyer in the world sevens series after showcasing his blistering speed and mental toughness in the final.

The 23 year old from Vakativa, Wailevu in Cakaudrove scored two tries for the Lomaiviti Barbarians in the cup final against Bure ambassadors.

Eremasi, a former Marist Brothers High School and Saint Bedes College student showed great foot works and he was sound in defense as well.

The Fiji National University graduate said he just wished that the national seven's selectors were there to witness his mesmerizing performance.

Eremasi who captained the FNU 7s team last year adds he is thankful to former national speedster Marika Vunibaka for giving him some valuable tips.

Eremasi is now looking forward to the Tiqavia Vancouver 7s next month in Tailevu and hopes the selectors will be there.
