The driver of the 10 wheeler truck which killed a police officer at Korovou in a road accident has been charged.
Police said that the driver has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving an un-insured vehicle contravening the third party policy and driving with a false registered number plate.
The officer was standing beside the road when a ten wheeler truck carrying sacks of sugar suddenly tilted and the sacks fell on him killing him instantly.
