PM to open coconut conference
Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama will open the 49th Asia Pacific Coconut Committee in Nadi next week.

The ministerial meeting will be attended by 18 member countries with a mandate to see that the planting and replanting of coconuts are done in these countries. 

According to Permanent Secretary of Agriculture Ropate Ligairi, coconut is one of the major commodities in these countries.

He said the meeting will also discuss industries policy matters, administrative concerns and program and plan its countries.
