First ever Fashion Education Conference held in Fiji
A first ever Fashion Education Conference is being held in Fiji with the hope of bringing key stakeholders to explore the potential of implementing fashion education into Fiji National University's curriculum.

Fiji Fashion Managing Director Ellen Whippy said current studies and research have proven that fashion education can play a significant role in country's creative and commercial economy.

School of Communication and Creative Arts Senior Lecture, Jerry Wong said FNU was planning on introducing the first ever certificates in Fashion Design in their curriculum this year with Diploma level after that.

The theme for this conference is "Make it in Fiji".

Fashion from education to manufacturing for economic gain.

An international fashion educator from London Professor Paul Rider will be the key note speaker.
