Baby found floating in septic tank

A 15 month old baby found floating in an open dug up septic tank in Nadera on Monday has raised again the issue on poor parental supervision.

According to police the baby's body was found floating in the neighbors open septic located about 15meters away from the deceased's home.

The baby was conveyed to the Valelevu Health Centre where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

A post mortem is expected to be conducted soon.

In another separate incident yesterday evening a class five student lost her life after she drowned in Dakuivuna Waterfall.

Police said that the incident occurred around 6pm when the 10 year old was swimming with her friends.
 
The deceased is now at Korovou Hospital awaiting post mortem examination.
