2 escapees still on the run

2 prisoners remain on the run.

According to police, they are 26-year-old Nacanieli Bakata who escaped from the Nadi Police Station and Iowane Benedito who escaped from Korovou Prison.

Police said people will still have to go through checkpoints as recapture operations continue.

Meanwhile, remand prisoner Ravuama Kedraika who escaped while being escorted from the Legal Aid Office last week was arrested yesterday afternoon.

Kedraika was arrested at 3.15pm at Jittu Estate by an operations team while two others were also taken in for harbouring the prisoner.
