Market vendor sent to St Giles Hospital
A 40-year-old market vendor who is charged with a malicious act has been ordered by Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili to be sent to St Giles Hospital.

Ram Chandra appeared this morning where Magistrate Ratuvili told to him to get a psychiatric review.

He will reappear on the 5th of June.

The court heard the accused Ram Chandra endeavored to disturb the public peace by inciting hatred of any class of person.

It is alleged that Chandra made some comments about the Prime Minister, the Military and the Government of the day.

He told the Court that he is an outpatient of Saint Giles Hospital and is still taking his medication.
