The American Embassy through USAID's Office of the United State Foreign Disaster Assistance will be providing US $50,000 to assist people who have been affected by Tropical Cyclone Evan.
The funds will be provided to Fiji Red Cross Society and according to US Ambassador to Fiji Frankie Reed she hopes that the funding will assist those in need.
Blankets, Sanitation kits, water purification tablets, and other emergency relief items are expected to be provided with the funding.
