The Fiji Electricity Authority said they are working around the clock to ensure most areas have power restored by Christmas.

Days after Tropical Cyclone Evan’s passing, the whole of Tavua is still without power supply while 70% of Ba and Rakiraki area is yet to be connected.

In addition to this 65% of Nadi, 62% of Sigatoka and 60% of Lautoka still awaits power restoration.

For the Central/Eastern division, half of the Nausori area is still without power while 10% of the Suva area has yet to be reconnected.

Meanwhile, some areas are not receiving water supply due to the power outage.
