Assessments underway on damages sustained
With more than eleven thousand seven hundred people remaining in evacuation centers nationwide, assessments are now underway on the damage sustained on the evacuees’ homes.

DISMAC Director Manasa Tagicakibau said 15 teams will join the officials in the west today to assist in verifying the extent of damage sustained. 

Tagicakibau said it is only those with really devastated homes that will remain in the centers. 


Tagicakibau added that there has been overwhelming assistance given by various local and international organizations adding people can come forward with more assistance especially food rations.
