Calls continue to be made to donate blood at the Blood Drive at International School Suva.

The blood drive is organized by the Blood Bank to assist in the cardiac surgeries at the CWM hospital.

Surgeons are here from abroad providing free open heart surgeries and in this situation one person can take 3-4 units of blood.

One of the donors, Jemima Stancombe said it is not a hard thing to do and does not take much time so people should come out in numbers to donate blood as it is for a good cause.

You can donate blood till 4pm today at International School Suva at Laucala Beach.

Meanwhile a 43 year old farmer of Labasa is happy and thankful to be back with his relatives after his successful open heart surgery conducted by surgeons from Australia last week.

A close relative of Ravindra Kumar told Fijivillage that there were complications and Kumar had lost hope.
