Most of the overseas based players picked in the 30 member Fiji 7s squad for the Rugby World Cup 7s tournament are back in the country and are raring to don the national jumper for the World Cup.
France based Joeli Lutumailagi said he wants to play for the Fiji 7s team again if given a chance to go to Moscow.
Nikola Matawalu who is expected in the country soon said the right players need to be picked for this important outing.
Former captain Seremaia Burotu is also in the frame and he wants a strong team to play in the World Cup.
Former Lelean Memorial school student Metuisela Talebula shared similar sentiments saying he wants a place in the final team for the World Cup 7s.
Alipate Ratini, Watisoni Votu, Seremaia Burotu, Joeli Lutumailagi, Timoci Matanavou, Vereniki Goneva, Nikola Matawalu, Metuisela Talebula and Waisea Nayacalevu are part of the squad.
Dere earlier said that only three overseas based players will be brought in.
Sunia Kubu, the younger brother of former national 7s rep Sakenasa Aca and Nadroga’s Ratu Meli Kurisaru are the only new players in the squad.
Players who returned from the last leg of the Sevens Series are in the squad along with other players who represented Fiji earlier in the series.
The squad will march into camp tomorrow at Queen Elizabeth Barracks where they will prepare for the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s - The Road To Moscow.
The Marist 7s will be held next Friday and Saturday.
