80 cases of water theft detected

Eighty cases of water thefts have been detected by the Water Authority of Fiji.

Corporate Communications team leader Fulori Turaga said recently they had 74 cases of illegal connection of water meters and have now increased to eighty.

She said from these 80 cases, they will analyze and determine the ones which will go to court depending on the evidence collected.

5 cases are currently before the courts.
