A police officer died in a road accident at Korovou near a police station yesterday afternoon.
Police spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed that at about 5pm the officer was standing beside the road when a ten wheeler truck carrying sacks of sugar suddenly tilted and the sacks fell on him killing him instantly.
