2011 IRB Sevens Player of the Year Tomasi Cama Junior said the loss to Fiji in the Gold Coast final was a learning curve for them.
Speaking to Fijivillage, the NZ Sevens team playmaker added the Dubai Sevens is expected to be a cracker as all teams will come firing.
New Zealand will play Wales at 7.36pm next Friday in its first match of the Dubai Sevens.
Fiji will take on Spain at 6.50pm in its first match next Friday.
