England Sevens coach Ben Ryan has recalled former captain and IRB Sevens Player of the Year Ollie Phillips to his squad to defend their title in the Dubai Sevens.
Playmaker Dan Bibby, who last appeared in Glasgow and London last season, also returns to the side.
England has lifted the last two Cup titles in 2010 and 2011 at the Dubai 7s.
Other players in the England squad include Chris Brightwell, Tom Mitchell, Dan Norton, James Rodwell and Rob Vickerman.
England will take on South Africa at 8.20pm next Friday in its first match.
Fiji will play Spain at 6.50pm.
