4,000 booked in 12 days of operation
More than 4,000 drivers have been booked in just 12 days for not following the road rules.

Director Traffic Senior Superintendent Mahesh Mishra said that during Operation Blitz from the 7th to date, 2,735 drivers were booked for speeding in the Central, Eastern, Southern and Western Divisions.

Mishra said that these figures show that drivers are intentionally not taking their warnings seriously and they should be ready to face the consequences.

He said that now that the festive season is around the corner, the momentum of operations has increased as they do not want to see people losing their loved ones through accidents.
