Man dies after being hit by bus

A 21-year-old man lost his life this morning after he was hit by a bus at Pacific Harbour.

The deceased was returning from a grog session at 2:30am when he stopped to pick something off the road and was hit by the bus traveling to Suva from Nadi.

The bus driver is now in police custody. Police are awaiting the post mortem result from the Navua Hospital.

The road death toll currently stands at 27 compared to 26 for the same period last year.
