People urged to give correct addresses when reporting a fire
People have been urged to give correct addresses when reporting a fire.

This comes after an incident on Thursday where a four bedroom concrete house was destroyed in a fire in Tavua as firefighters found it difficult to locate the house which was on fire.

According to NFA Chief Executive Officer, John O’Connor, the person who alerted the Tavua Police Station and the Tavua Fire Station gave an incorrect address of the property and by the time the fire fighters arrived at the scene, the house was engulfed in flames.

Meanwhile, investigation is now underway to determine the cause of the fire.
