FRU to bring in accounting firm for forensic audit
The Fiji Rugby Union financial committee is looking at bringing in an accounting firm to prepare a full forensic audit of the FRU’s accounts.

Serious steps are finally being taken to ensure that rugby’s parent body is financially sound.

Newly appointed chairman of FRU and the Prime Minister’s nominee on the board, Filimoni Waqabaca confirms that the financial committee which is headed by board member, Daniel Whippy has been working out strategies to counter the $600,000 loss of FRU last year.

Waqabaca said according to the financial reports, the loss has continued to increase over the years.

Waqabaca added that they are looking at reviewing every department and strengthening their relationship with other unions.
